Hi Bex,

Yes ewcm is a really good sign you are about to ovulate and is also extremely fertile fluid - the more the merrier as sperm can swim the best and survive the longest in your fallopian tubes in it. As for the temp dip I get the same thing and it is generally know as an ovulation dip. Not everyone gets it but I get it on the day I ovulate and then get a big temp shift up the next day.

I get a bit paranoid from time to time since i went to the doctors about my long cycles and painful ovulation and he quite coldly and matterfactly told me just to go home as its probably just that i'm NOT ovulating and have probably had a drop in fertility!!!! Which was like a brick hitting my chest epsecially being told so matter of factly in a mean manner ! No tests no nothing to check to see if he's right i was just sent on my way!! but after all my reasearch and charting i think hes wrong i think i am ovulating but that i just have ovulation that is a bit irregular!!!

Thanks for reassuring me that a dip in temps around this time can be normal in some cases!!!!!

You read on here all the time about doctors not understanding charting and female fertility. I found out that you don't need to learn about the fertility awareness method of checking temps and cervical fluid to pass your medical exam, so despite it being quite straight forward a lot of doctors don't really understand it and even still think that every woman ovulates on day 14 - what a joke. Yes change doctors for sure.

By the way it would be great to have you on here as a regular - fancy adding your chart?

I would love too but i've just been doing mine on the free charting booklet that came with my digital themometer - is it easy to get the hang of fertility friend online charts because i might start using them instead if its straight forward enough!

Yeah it's a sinch, you get your head round it really easily. Fertilityfriend.com give you afree 30 days and as you have so much info you'll be able to add your previous months too, so you'll be able to overlay charts and all sorts. Plus you don't have to think about it as it will add you lines when it detects ovulation.

Anyway that's the site we all use. We add our link to our posts so we can all nosey at each others and offer advice and support. I've learned loads off this lot in here

What is the best time to do OPK tests or is it to personal perference? I read not to do them in the morning?

Do I need to do them at the same time everyday? xxxx

opk , i do at about 10 am ( not peed for 2 hours) and if i get a line , ill do another at about 6 pm to see if its gettng darker ( best order loads cheapies lol)



well ive got major light af now and cramps so come on holiday ! i cant keep thinking that my light af mean anything but my periods ave gotten really light for some reason , ill ask my fertily doc when i next see him i suppose .

how annoying had my chart been this month , talking about raising hopes i tell ya what tho getting af while working instead of sat at home means i havent spent the day crying

I think I may be getting ewcm for the first time since my m/c I'm not sure but I think I can just about call it that. Also cervix feel open. I'm jumping DH tonight!!! Neg opk grrrr

Yeah HC, they recommend doing them in the afternoon, although I have positive ones quite often at 10am.

Decided to leave my chart as it is and mark the sleeping tablet on the night/date that i had it, for example I had a sleeping tablet last night so marked it on yesterdays.... I go all confused doing it on todays lol

im getting excited , weve done some serious number crunchin and we MIGHT be able to go america . we had such an awfull honeymoon i just want our anniversary to be memorable for all the right reasons lmao !

i better not try to concieve this month , as if i caught i may not show on a test by the time of surgery and would hate something to happen if id got pregnant and didnt know ? make sense?

plus ill be flying in the 2ww , i just dont wanna worry so think ill opk to know when not to bd lol

Hi Everyone,

Lisa - I didn't realise we were at the same point. This is the first time i've done this 2ww thingy, so i dont normally know when to expect ovulation or af. I'm not too bad at the moment, i think because i'm not expecting to be pregnant. We've been ttc for 15 months now, so i dont hold out much hope anymore!

I keep getting this 'trickling' feeling (sorry if tmi!) and thinking its af come early........so dont know whether that means its on the way.

G3M - sorry its not your month this time When are you planning to go away. I'd love to be going on holiday! We were meant to be going away for our 1st anniversary but i dont think that will be happening now as my husband is really busy at work for the next few months! Typical!!
