2 Week Old Feeding and 1st night out!

Just a quickie. Connor is coming up to two weeks old and we're starting to introduce the bottle for various reasons.

He's taking about 2-3oz per feed, but feeding every two hours. Is this about right for his age?

He's back up to his birth weight now (he got weighed today) so the MW's are happy with him.

In your experience girls when will he start taking more and having more time between feeds?

Also we've been invited out to dinner tomorrow night with OH's parents - first time I will be leaving him for more than 10 minutes! How old were your littles ones when you first had a night out?

I should be gone about two hours and he's going to stay with my Mum.

2-3oz sounds about right hun for his age!

Zac was taking 4oz from birth but then he is a greedy guts.

When he got to about 4 weeks we managed to increase it to 5oz (which he is still on now) so in a couple of weeks im sure Connor will be ready for more but remember, all babies are different and there are NO set guidelines!! Also you will prob notice that he will start to go a bit longer between feeds soon too, I just used to try and drag it out a tiny little bit each time to try and make Zac go longer and he now has 5 feeds a day, feeding every 4 hours or sometimes longer.
