1st visit to midwife :)

I had my first visit to my midwife and she was lovely.

I was a bit apprehensive as I had read some posts from some people who didn't have a good experience.

I wonder if it helped because my midwife was training a student so had to say everything slow and go through
absolutely loads with me!! So many questions. But she did explain a lot to me, and made me feel like I wasn't wasting her time.

She also outlined all the visits with her up to my 40th week- I was surprised at that!

So I am happy really, it's a lot more real to me now!

Really glad you had a good experience, mine wasn't too bad either! It really does help it sink in doesn't it, dunno if it's just talking about it, planning or the fact that a medical professional does actually believe you! Have you got your scan date yet?

Yeh I think it was the planning ahead that made it sink in for me- and booking in for the antenatal classes already! lol

Yeh I got my scan date for the 12th of Feb. How about you?

Antenatal classes?! Sheesh, that seems ages away! mw did mention it but I just thought, ach, that can wait awhile yet surely!
