16-18 week antenatal check

as im away from home my doctor wrote me all the dates where things normally get done (scans and tests and stuff) - the next date on my list is the 16-18 week antenatal checkup

What happens in this check up? Ive had initial blood tests (at 8 weeks) and everything was fine. Ive had nuchal scan and everything is fine. I havent got anything im particularly worried about....does anything happen at this check up that cant wait? because i would have to register at a new doctor, get a check up, and then 4 weeks later be home again and then have to get all my details sent back home

I got BP taken, urine checked and midwife prodded womb size and listened for the heartbeat.

Maybe ring your midwife and ask if it can wait a few weeks?

oh good, that doesnt sound particularly necessary, im listening to the heartbeat every day myself

I had mine last Weds. It took about 5 minutes. She checked my BP, urine and did the baby's HB. That was it.
