12 week scan

Well, more like a 14 week scan really by the time they booked my appointment.

First baby so everything is new and exciting to me, and when I saw the screen all I could say was...'wow'. All my partner could do was stare at the screen. I think it's finally hit him! Neither of us could get over how clear the image was. People had told us all we'd see would be like a blurry peanut, but we were stunned. Technology is very clever these days. Anyway baby stayed still for it's measurements and photo's then promptly turned over when it was finished. 'That's all you're getting folks!'

Anyway, we were told the baby had a strong heartbeat and everything was in the right place. They seemd quite happy, it's 7.9cm long and my new due date is now 1 Nov.

Next appointment is my 16 week one with the midwife on 18 May.

Thanks. My partner thinks its a boy too and so do a few people we've shown the scan photo to. I'm sitting on the fence for now...I'm just glad everything seems to be going ok.
