Hi girls

Daniel is 14 months and we are thinking about getting a kitten. She will be ready to take home on 5th of Dec.

So, anybody had any experience with that? Should we go for it or will it be a complete nightmare??

And, is it better to wait until Daniel will be a bit older?

Any answers would be great :D

Dont know what it would be like with a kitten but we got a puppy when Maddison turned one and she loves her so much. Was hard work in the beginning when we were trying to toilet train and teach boundaries but is great now

I've not had a kitten and a baby but our cats were always fine with Stanley. They sort of co-exist with no bother. A kitten is obviously a lot more work, but I would think it's do-able.

I know Beanie has had a couple of litters (of cats  ) whilst she's had babies, may be she could help. :)

hey hun ive got 8 cats (two of them r kittens) and they get on fine with jack (he is 14 weeks old)!! they r not bothered by him at all! i have one cat who likes to rest his head on jacks legs whilst im feeding him its sooooo cute xxxx
id say go 4 it xxxx

I am still thinking....... Taled to my mum and she reminded me what it was like when we had a cat (we took him in as a kitten...)
Have my doubts now

would just like to clarify it was my cat who had the kittens, not me :rotfl: She had one litter 4 days after Cally was born, another homebirth though she settled into the breastfeeding quicker then me. I have been a responsible owner, and she's been done now so no more thank god, and we have kept one.

I haven't found it difficult. The only thing is making sure if the kittens made a mess that it was cleaned up thoroughly but you would do that with or without kids. My two are used to cats being there.

Ty girls

Talked with my DH last night and we decided to wait till Daniel will be about 2. He is just about starting to walk, and I am affraid kitten will just add up to the trouble.

:(
