I honestly didnt find it that bad, I had gas and air and eventually diamorphine as they put me on the drip to speed things up. Once the diamorphone kicked in i was in la la land and sailed through the last few hours!!

I was always measuring 3/4 cm bigger than my dates, Charlie was born at 40+4 weighing 7lbs 13oz, I figure your stomach has to be relatively flat in the first place to get an accurate measurment. Lets say mine wasnt!! Dont worry about it, its such a unprecise science.

I used one of these when my little boy developed a flat spot, it didnt really make any difference to be honest and we ended up with a helmet. Hopefully you will have better results as i have heard they do work for some babies
