    Car Seat?

Thanks Magic, yeah, we took out the insert ages ago....damn these things are a rip off for £100! We don't have a car so have only used it a handful of times!

    Car Seat?

Sorry to ambush your thread, lol, but we have a MaxiCosi and although it's supposed to last a year Dexter's feet look really awkward in it as they poke out of the bottom quite far so he has to sit with his legs up at an angle....is there any way to adjust or change the seat to prevent this?

Who did actually wait until 6 months to start weaning?

The guidelines are there to help but I think we have to take the lead from our individual babies. Dexter had two teeth at 5 months so it seemed silly to wait - after all, teeth are for eating with! However, there's no point in rushing if mum and baby aren't ready.

    Cheese Allergy?

Well I think I can safely say that Dexter and cheese don't get along....he has been sick 3 times now after trying cheese. Is this likely to be an allergy or just a bad reaction to something rich? Til this week he's only had fruit, veg and porridge. The cheese was in a lentil and veg concoction...

    Asleep on his tummy?

Dexter has been sleeping on his tummy since he was around 3 months, he also head strong head control early on and just settled much better this way. I was a bit wary of doing it at first because of all the advice but we found it worked for us. I did it during day time naps at first just so I...

Ive fallen out of love :(

I'm a bit flaky with mine...I fall in and out of love with it on a whim. I HATE cleaning it but I love it for bacon, fish and pork......it's a bit shit for chicken though, too dry...

    Savoury v sweet

Have you tried sweet potato? Dexter has this at most meals at the mo, with a little formula mixed in and then some other veggies. It's sweeter tasting but very nutritious. Also this week (now he's nearly 6 months) I've just started adding a little cheese to his veggies, he's having swede, leek...

    Frozen veg

We started weaning at 4 months and so far Dexter has only had porridge, fruit and veg. Next week however we're going to introduce meat, fish, dairy etc. I've always used fresh veg for him but have bought some frozen as I know, nutrient wise, it's at least as good, if not better....and will...

    sleep again

Eek, it's a tricky one...when he feeds in the night does he take a lot? We reduced Dexter's feeds slowly at night, part led by him and part led by us. Sometimes he was only taking 1 or 2 ounces so wasn't really hungry so we just stopped offering at around 3 months, although we kept the 11pm one...
