I think babies will naturally prefer the sweeter foods over savoury. I only give Emms fromage frais and fruit as her sweeter things rather than food with sugar in. She does love the FF but I think you just have to give more savoury stuff and less quantity of the sweeter foods. Also babies do go...

It could be a growth spurt or he might want mummy in the night for comfort. It is around that age when they understand that if they cry, mummy comes to them! I guess if you check out whether he seems hungry or just wants a cuddle you could try water if it's just a cuddle and see if he'll settle...

I think Emma knows her name now - it was 10 months for us.

Emms did this at 3 months - 5 months and then she started waking again! I think you might be lucky and have a great sleeper from now on or it may be a phase. Babies are capable of going without milk all night from about 3 months. Emms was just BF and she did it. Yay :cheer: :cheer: :hug: :hug:

Hi, I know Emms is younger, but some of my friends have said that their kids didnt eat meat properly until at least 2 yrs old. I think some LOs just dont get the taste for it until their a bit older. I wouldnt worry too much and just give alternatives for a while, but keep trying it every now...

Firstly dont worry too much he's still quite little - basically it's trial and error up until 1yr or so. I panicked a lot thinking Emms had to be eating loads of things straight away but that's not the case. I tried the cow and gate baby porridge, fruit - banana, veg - carrot, sweet potato...

I make up 3 bottles for Emms when she is at the childminders first thing in the morning and she has been fine! My childminder did the same with her children and they were fine. I tend to make them up when needed when I am at home, but Emms only needs 3 bottles in the day now. :hug: :hug:

We had a talk from the HVs early on after Emms was born re oral hygeine. The woman said that we really need to get baby to change from bottles with teats to beakers by 1 yr as they are much better for teeth. I wondered how easy people had found this? Emms will drink water from a beaker but at...

May sound a silly/ ignorant question but Emms seems a bit prone to ear infections. I asked the Dr yesterday if I can do anything to prevent them and he just said to monitor the ears to check if there are any changes/ discharge but not any suggestions of things that might stop her getting them in...

In our town I have gone to Mothercare, Boots, Marks and Spencers, Toys R Us, John Lewis (the best by far!). We just went to places to eat which had more room and I could face away from everyone - we found the Slug and Lettuce good as it had sofas and was spaced out so that people werent on top...
