Good luck hon - I had a sweep with my little girl in the afternoon and was in full on labour by 10 that evening. Fingers crossed it works for you! I had group b strep with my last pregnancy and sweeps are fine x

Hey hon, like others have said, the antibiotics are really nothing to worry about. I also was informed that I had Group B strep during my first pregnancy and just had antibiotics through a canula in my hand. It was fine, barely noticed it to be honest and it didn't stop me from being mobile...

Well, after veto-ing every boys name I have suggested to date, OH has finally agreed to calling LO Oliver (if he's a boy). I like that it can be shortened to Ollie but Oliver has sufficient "gravitas" if he's a more serious type! Now we just need a girl's name...our daughter is Lucy - any...

As Vikki says, you don't have to pay back stat. maternity pay, anything you get additionally under your contract is only required to be paid back if your contract/handbook explicitly says so. Hope this helps x

I did this religiously from 34 weeks in my previous pregnancy and still ended up with an episiotomy :( Don't think I'll bother this time.

Hey hon - I used one during my first labour with my daughter. You can rent the "labour" ones through boots (either instore or on-line). Apparently it's important you don't use a standard one (I had borrowed one from a friend but it had very specific instructions not to be used in pregnancy)...
