on the verge of giving up

I know how you feel, but don't give up! I've struggled with breast feeding and have had thoughts about giving up, but I'm still going...well partially. I was initially using a bad technique for breast feeding (shown to me by a midwife at the hospital!) and after a few days my nipples were...

    Hypnobirthing...

Hypnobirthing is fantastic, I would recommend it to EVERYONE!! We did a course (it was abut £150) and I'm so pleased we did, I wouldn't have got so much out of it if I'd just read a book. I've got to say that OH was sceptical before we went, but once there became a complete convert, in fact he...

    Episiotomy stitches...

LOL!! Glad you're on the mend. At least we're all heading in the right direction. Midwife didn't really give me any advice re stitches and getting back to normal, other than to expect to bleed like a heavy period for a while...

    Episiotomy stitches...

OMG, I'm so squeamish I've not been able to read most of this thread lol! I had an episiotomy and a couple of stitches and am SO happy that I'm not the only one who was too scared to look!! Has anyone else had a problem with pooing? (please tell me it's not just me!) (tmi warning) I was...

    TMI sorry - constipation

LOL, I so know what you mean! That's what I was like for the last few months of being pregnant! Now I've had the little dude, I'm even worse! I had a couple of stitches following an episiotomy and was then terrified to have a poo! I tried lactulose and it worked a little, but god did it make me...

    Anyone use a Mooncup?

It doesn't go that far so don't worry about loosing it :) it sits lower than a tampon generally, you'll soon find the natural place for it to sit. I would say not to cut the little stalk too soon, take time to get used to it, then you'll know how much, or how little you need to trim.

    Anyone use a Mooncup?

I've been using my Mooncup for a good few years now and I LOVE it. There is no way I would go back to tampons! Mooncup all the way!! I've also got some cloth pads which I use for backup on heavy days (although I've never needed to, I just like the security!), and instead of disposable pads on...

    Poo containment

Forgot to say, the little fella has put a pound on in the last week (!), 2lb in total, so maybe now he's a bit bigger may help with the fitting?

    Poo containment

Where does the time go?! Can't believe it's been so long since I asked the question! I've been totally wrapped up in my little fella, my currently very snotty poor little man :o( We're now pretty established with the disposables and this MUST CHANGE. His poo often squidges out of those too if...

    Poo containment

Can someone give me some advice regarding how to contain poo in cloth nappies. I've got a small amount of different types of nappies - flat, pocket, all in one etc - but poo seems to escape from all of these, and wee too quite often. I'm wondering if it's me rather than the nappies at fault...

Baby boy 25/12/10 - story to follow

Well, my yellow with a hint of blue bump turned a definite shade of blue and my little man FINALLY arrived at 5.04am on Christmas day, weighing 7lb4, and 17 days over due! I didn't get my natural home hypnobirth, more of a medicated eviction in hospital, but we're both fine (although, having a...

Alanna May Benfield - 18.12.2010 - Actual Story Added!

Wow, what a fabulously written account! Glad you got through it with a sense of humour. It has a familiarity about it too in certain aspects, I really need to write mine down, or at least what I can remember of it! I also need to decide on a name for my poor little bub!
