Congrats. Does a 48 hour latent phase mean 48 hours of period pains & contractions?

My MW says 3/5ths 'palpable' which means 2/5ths in the pelvis and the rest out. My LO has been 3/5ths palpable for the last 4 weeks and my due date's today... hmm. I'd quite the whole of my LO to be palpable BY ME but think I need to be patient :)

Hiyaaaa Sounds like we're in the same boat. DD Monday 20th, 3/5ths engaged etc etc but think the LO is quite happy in there so I just have to wait patiently... which is HARD :? My friends are popping left, right & centre! J x

Yep, same here. My MW is on holiday, second in command is sick and third has her mobile off and no appt... due next Monday so fingers crossed I don't need to see them but that's not the point. It's reassuring to have the appt and it throws you a bit when they can't see you. Good luck getting...

I thought BH were tightening at the top of the bump and the lower pains are the start of contractions... sorry if that worries you and I am no authority as am 39 weeks and it's my first baby. All my tightenings are at the top, nothing going on lower down yet. Ring your midwife and check. xx

Don't know whether we're having a boy or a girl but I dreamt that the midwife handed me a baby with a blue bib and pink booties... none the wiser, thanks dream!! Also dreamt that I breastfed straight away and was fab at it so hoping that one comes true :cheer:
