She won't go to sleep unless breastfeeding

Its great and I really don't mind but I'm worried about how her sleeping habits in the future and all my friend's babies who are breast feeding can go to sleep on their own. Also when I get her to sleep at night, she usually wakes an hour later due to the REM sleep cycle and cannot settle...

She won't go to sleep unless breastfeeding

Bethany has always gone to sleep whilst breast feeding and now I'm starting to have problems as she won't go to sleep unless on my breast :| Please can anyone offer advice on how I can change this so she will settle in her cot herself. I really don't want to do controlled crying and have tried...

    Head Engagement

My midwife went by what I read in books which was 0/5 means fully engaged, so 4/5 is just a little engaged. I was 4/5ths at 32 weeks but the midwife says it can bob in and out for a while and may not be fully engaged until the last minute.

    Dream Feeding

Hi Guys, I've not been on here for ages but wanted to know if anyone knows about dream feeding? I've been told it is a good way of getting our little ones sleeping through from early on. You feed your baby without waking him at set times as its natural instinct for them to suck and feed in...

    Getting big...already?!?

Hi. I'm a size 16 and found out at 6 weeks when my trousers were feeling pretty tight due to bloating. I'm now 11 weeks and in maternity trousers. My OH reakons I've started showing but it's difficult to tell at the mo as I already had a large tummy - its definitely getting more firm now though...

Got my first Midwife appointment through!

I got the appointment through for my scan yesterday. Its on the 12th June and I'll be 16 weeks. We only get the one scan where I am and I think it's just a dating scan. I have the option to pay for more detailed ones but my OH isn't keen as he doesn't want to find out the sex, by accident. I'm...

    Skin

ElizebethJoy, Tried to find out about the American version but there does not appear to be a generic name for E45 cream. It's only an emollient cream bought over the counter specially for more serious dry skin conditions such as eczema, dermatitis and some types of psoriasis. Think you may...

    Skin

I am so glad I'm not the only one. I'm not suffering from spots, but have come out with a rash on both arms, inside thighs and behind my left knee. The doc says it looks like dermititis although I have never suffered from this before, nor have I changed anything like washing powder etc. My mum...

    Pro biotic yoghurts?

Hi all. I went out yesterday and bought some muller vitality pre and pro biotic yoghurts, thinking it would be good for me. However a friend of mine asked if I should be eating them. Something to do with live bacteria in them. It got me thinking so I thought I'd ask if anyone on here knows...

    First scan at 16wks?

Thanks everyone. At least I know I'm not alone now and it's not just because of where I live. Not too sure about saying I've been bleeding - don't want to tempt fate - thanks anyway. Looks like I'm gonna have to be a little more patient.
