Just bought two stair gates so that when I shower in the morning I can just leave him to roam upstairs. I also have a very good 6 year old that I leave him with sometimes!! LOL.

My son has always loved any of the Julia Donaldson ones, particularly The Gruffalo, Room on a Broom, The Snail and the Whale, Sharing a Shell...there are loads...and you can get them all in hard board books which are better for little ones.

My eldest is like that. He has to be in bed to sleep! Even if we drive to my MIL's in France which is about 4/5 hours drive, sometimes in the night, he still stays away the whole time!

Sounds delicious! I'm sure it'll be fine, I'd do it. Re best before dates/use by dates...I ignore them on everything. They are only put on to cover the supermarkets backs. If something looks and smells fine, I eat it!

I would personally feed him at 2am. Jax still sometimes has two feeds a night but I find it much easier to spend 5/10mins feeding him and him going straight back to sleep then I do spending 30 mins trying to get him to go back to sleep without food.

Jax has only managed it 3 times in 8.5 months!! LOL. My eldest din't sleep through till he was over a year old.

I also give toast, crumpets and croissants if we have them for a change.

I give Jax Weetabix, Readybrek or baby porridge alternately and sometimes add mashed banana.
