    2 steps back..?

So, I didn't want to celebrate too soon but for the past week J has started sleeping much better at night. She has always been good (usually only waking once), but out of the blue she slept til 5am (from 9pm), then it varied from 4.30-6.30 wake up times over the following days. She is def...

How quickly can u get a newborn into a routine

Don't do it. My SIL brainwashed me into thinking we needed a routine asap, which in turn made OH think something was wrong if we DIDN'T have routine straight away. What followed was a weeks of stress that J wasn't aware/asleep when she was supposed to be! Looking back she was waaaay to young...

    Droped a feed

Yay! Joy did this recently. She doesn't hsveca 10/11 feed anymore, and goes from 8/9 to 2/3am, and it's becoming more and more common for her to llast longer - this morning was 3-45am! Fingers crossed for us both that it carries on ;-)

    Good nights but crap nappies!

Thank you! J is still so dinky I thought size 2s would be huge...just tried a Huggies size 2 (someone bought us a pack) and they're ok...the legs seem massive but let's see how we go! And yes, all the raving about asda nappies .... I'm there today!

    Good nights but crap nappies!

Thanks girls! Maybe a trip to asda in store for later then! Another stupid question: do yr LOs bums ever feel damp (their cliches) when you pick them up, like they are sweaty? Last night was definitely alleaky nappy but sometimes I'm not sure if her bums just damp where she's hot, if that makes...

    Good nights but crap nappies!

I'm really proud of my LO. As you lovely lot advised me weeks ago after a baaaaad night, she is starting to sort sleeping out all by herself! Originally LO would have feed about 10/11, then wake at 2, then around 5/6 . Asia newborn I was happy with this. Now, J has a feed at 8/9, sleeps til...

    Rivens introduction to Lamaze toys....

So cute! I got the snail for J last week, only from tesco and I didnt realise it was Lamaze at first! J loves it though. The spell is black and white and sage just stares for ages at it (she's 4 weeks). Now when I shake it she is dining an almost smile...so cute!

    Bloomin pram trolls!

That's awful! I had a lady stop me by putting her hand on my pram handle, calling her husband over and saying to him "Oh doesn't HE look like [name]" - and completely ignoring me, and the fact that my DAUGHTER was all dressed in pink!

    10pm feed

This has got me thinking... J goes down at 7ish now, after bath and bottle. She'll then sleep until 10ish and it's 50/50 as to whether she wakes on her own or we wake her for a feed. Without fail she'll then wake around 2pm for a feed. I think she's ready to go up an oz on her bottles as...

Excellent, thank you very much! I've got a job to do today then ;-)

    Descaling steriliser

Is it just regular descaler, like what you use for kettles etc? How exactly do you use it? I've only ever done it with a shower head, and there's instructions for that on the pack!

    Descaling steriliser

Ive got the Tommee Tippee steam steriliser and not quite sure how to descale it! Ive only been using it about 2 weeks, but want to keep on top of things rather than let any limescale build up. I'm guessing there's probably info in tge instructions, but hubby has 'helpfully' put a pike of...
