Wine Lists.... lol

I am going out tonight and I have just printed the menu off the net of the restaurant we are going to....

why do wine lists talk some drivell. Honestly, this is the description for one of them...

Chenin Blanc
from the Kleine Zalze vineyard in South Africa, a ripe, tropical fruit flavoured stunner, with just a hint of sweetness

Why can't they just say "yeh, it tastes good" or "not that great"

I always laugh at wine tasters on TV, especially that Julie something-or-other with the big nose.... everything smells like a gorgeous bouquet of flowers.... blah, blah, blah!
