Hey hope someone can help me.

I woke up about an hour n a half ago due to feeling very winded as tho i had been punched in the stomach. I thought i would wait a bit and see if it died down but the uncomfortableness and pain is still there. Any ideas?

Thanks for the reply hun. Is there anything that u think it could possibly be? Xx

I really couldn't even guess! Iv not heard of anyone feeling winded before?! Xx

Could be baby pushing on your lungs?
TMI but when me and OH had sex around about 30 weeks pregnant, I couldn't continue doing it because I got extremely winded and thought I was going to throw up, it was horrible. It was because my lungs were being squashed by baby!

It was really horrible though, I've never been so winded in all my life.
Is it in your chest? If so I'd say baby has definitely kicked you in your sleep or is just lying awkwardly. xxx

Def could be from baby lying near to lungs overnight. Its not shortness of breath? I.e. Still there even if u shift positions? Def call midwife and get it checked out. Don't want to find out it may be pre-ecamplysia, best be on safe side? Am sure it's fine and not that though. Xxxx

Thanks for all the replies ladies.
It seems to have calmed down a little altho im still getting crampy feelings and pains in my foof (sorry tmi). It didnt feel like i was short of breath it just felt like i had been winded. Dunno if that makes sense. Its not nice at all. But thanks again for replies.

I read something about this on baby centre website. It's says about baby pushing on your diaphragm (?) and it can feel like a struggle to breathe. Fairly common. I've felt it a couple of times. If its painful and struggle to breathe tho I'd check with midwife. But try and relax, or take a walk to see if baby moves slightly?xx

I get breathless if I lay on my back or even lean to far back in a chair. Feels like I can't take a full breath in. Something to do with Baby on your diaphragm and your lungs expanding in all directings not just forwards, so when your on your back you inhibit them more than if you were on one side iykwim?! X horrible feeling x
