whos babys went onto goats milk, instead of cows?

no i have never.

mine all had formula for a bit when i stopped breastfeeding and then cows milk.

:D

try it tasha. I think you'll find it may be too rich and she may not like it. but you never know

Yeah im going to try it, she doesnt know what cows is like so I have nothing to loose, I do feel its better, I will see how it goes. :D

not there yet but as D has a milk intolerence will be intrested to hear how you get on

have saved the link

I changed Ella to goats milk, yoghurt, goats cheese etc for a few months to see if it helped her excema. I found that to be honest although initially there seemed to be improvements it soon flared up again. Apart from her wee smelling EXTREMELY badly (I used to want to throw up when I went in her room in the morning) I didn't notice much difference at all. So I put her back onto cows milk products (her excema cleared up the minute I stopped putting anything at all onto her skin btw, I just wash them both with water and a sponge now).

It's a personal choice and it if makes you feel happier putting her onto goats milk then go for it, for us the lack of visual benefits compared to the cost (we were spending an extra £10 a week on milk, cheese etc and found by avoiding dairy we were restricting her diet quite a bit) didn't make it worth it.

Olivia doesn't have ezcema, thats not the reason for putting her on it, as far as I have come to know its much better than cows milk as it has more calcium and vitamins and due to whats put in cows milk these days id rather keep her away from it if I can.

Not just that it is actualy the closest you can get to breastmilk, that to me is important.

I have known people whos children had ezcema it had helped them, their children sufferd badly with it, and before they swapped to goats they had already stopped the bubble baths and only washed every two days with water, and very mild baby soap.

For them it worked, but all children are different.

Well I bought some and im going to see whats its like, if I like it im sure she will, she likes everything we eat, shes not a fussy eater

:cheer:

Ella didn't mind the change to goats milk at all, she still liked the cheese and milk there was no fussing. I couldn't stand it or the smell (the cheese mainly) :puke:

Excema is definately a personal thing, for instance her's flares up terribly on her bum if I use any wipes apart from reusables or pampers sensitive and on her face if she eats cherry tomatoes.

I didn't realise that it was so close to breastmilk - Beanie told me that horses milk is the closest but I've yet to see it in tesco

:rotfl: I didnt realise you could get horse milk.

I think its meant, thats its the closest you can get that is available on the market, I totaly understand if its not making it any better then its not worth it, and expense yes is another thing.
