My 2009 Ford KA was big enough for me and my 11 month old, but now I'm going to have another baby, I've decided to trade it in for a bigger car, but what one would be good for two babies ? I need lots of room in the boot, easy access to the rear seats, reasonable fuel economy, and something that will last me a few years without needing any repairs.

Any ideas ?

Thanks in advance!

We recently had this problem, i had a Honda Civic Type R - i loved it, and the last thing i wanted was to get rid of it! I'm fussy about cars, we looked at:

Vauxhall Astra
Mazda 3
Dodge Caliber
Volvo C30

Theres also a regular Honda Civic, Toyota Prius, Ford Focus, Peugeot 306 and probably loads more that would be good. In the end, we went for the Dodge, its a nice car, but for me its not the same but thats mostly because its a big family car rather than a low sporty one

I hubby was thinking about the Ford Mondeo, or Vauxhall Insignia. I've looked at both, and they are nice cars, but I just can't decide!!

I'll have to soon, or I'll have another baby and still a tiny car!

Hmm...

We were given a Vauxhall Insignia as a hire car when someone hit ours (4 days after we got it) its a beautiful car, i would go for one over a Mondeo, but for me, it was too hard to see out of (as i'm only 5'2) and whilst i was ok driving it, i worried all the time

Well I'm 5'7, so I probably wouldn't have any issues with seeing out...

I think I'll go to the dealership and check the Insignia out on Monday.

Hold on in there baby, I haven't bought a car for you yet!

i got a picasso i not very good wit spelling so prob spelt it wrong still 5 seats huge boot for pram and all back seats go down and forward its huge i love it its so cofortable x

We have a focus which has a mahoosive boot, you could def get everything in there and they are cheap!! Suppose it depends on your budget!!
xxx

Im with Abbiecourt, I bought a Citroen Xsara Picasso its a 5 seater not to costly to run and huge boot really comfy AND I can fit my 2 yr old in back behind passenger seat with the baby car seat in the front. Got mine for just under £3k, 60k on the clock 54 plate and 6mnths RAC warranty (just to give you an idea) xxx

I want an Audi estate - we did have one - an s4 version till o/h killed it

I suppose just something with 4 doors and a decent boot would be fine! I have to have a 7 seater car cos there is me, hubby, his 16yr wee brother, step son Peter 8, son Joshua 5 and now the baby too. I have been driving a Vauxhall Zafira 7 seater for a year and half but its my sisters and shes taking it back tonight - need to get my laid up car back on road tomorrow if it will pass an MOT. Its only a 5 seater but its not so bad cos Peter can get away without a booster now. Just means all of us cant go anywhere all 6 of us until I manage to get a trade in for a new car (in my spare time) Good luck xx
