Just a quickie ladies! Can you give babies weetabix from 6 months on? And if so, do you make it up with formula instead of cows milk. A friend said that Cheerios (the oat and not the honeynut kind) are better for them, but I think they're harder to pick up for first time foods?

Lily has been having Oatibix for the last 2weeks. I make it up with her formula and put a dollop of blended fruit or jar fruit puree ontop. She loves it :D

According to Annabel Karmel, it's OK to give Weetabix from 6 months. I use formula milk to make it up but LO doesn't really like eating it unless I've mixed it with some fruit puree too.

you can use cows milk for food from 6mths!!

I gave James weetabix mixed with formula from 6 months, but im not sure what the advice is now.
He loved it and refused to eat anything else for months!

ky loved weetabix from just over 5 months. sometimes i use formula sometimes cows milk. squish a banana in it. hes always smacks him lips and says 'mmmmmmm' when i add fruit

I give Jenna weetabix about twice a week (I use organix cereal the other days) - I mix it with formula but am going to start using a from / cows milk mix and gradually swap to just cows milk (it is a very different flavour, not so sweet, so going to do it gradually). I gave Jenna weetabix for the first time at about 7 months

Weetabix is fine from 6 months. Its about the only cereal that is firm enough to stay on the spoon as it gets wafted about so LO can feed herself (she is very independent). I think its revolting myself but she seems to love it.
