Weaning=total fiasco

I'm trying BLW.
Today I steamed some sweet potato so it was nice and soft then let W hold it and eat it.She just messed with it,the chucked up.After about 15 mins of this I ended up mashing it....and she chucked up even more!

Take 2 tomorrow.I'm going to reaquaint myself with various websites....

I miss being able to just whip up my top

Oh dear! And I was just willing the solid stage to roll on so I could stop whipping my top up!

Shes obviously not quite ready for it just yet... try some younger baby foods instead like baby rice... basically a baby is read to wean when they are ready...for some babies thats at 4 months others later. Just keep trying everyday...like all new skills she will get the hang of it.

If you are going down the BLW route it will be a bit like this to begin with, "eating" (plus playing, mushing, throwing) will be done at Willow speed.

Your day will go along the lines of boob, long breakfast, boob, quick play or sleep, long lunch, play, boob, (may get an hour to do a quick job) long tea, bath, boob, bed
I don't think I left the kitchen for about a month Its great fun though

i didnt do BLW i weaned missy myself but i did find the whole weaning thing extremely difficult at first. it is so hard when u just mastered the art of BFing now u got this new hurdle! lol but perseverence is definately the key! hav u spoken to valentine i kno she did BLW very recently she might be able to help u. good luck with it all!
