My husband is in the army and was on a course recently which unfortunately he failed. We knew if he failed it would mean he had to go back to battalion who are in london rather than his posting about 45 mins away (we are in Wiltshire).

Well the Battalion are being gits (no surprise there) and hubby is in London today same as yesterday trying to get stuff sorted out. At the moment he has been told he has to report for work every day monday to friday at normal time around 7.30am way too far to commute and no way he would get in on time so he will have to live in camp. Also he is on rear party (rest of battalion going to Kenya in 2 weeks which they tried to make him go on too!) he has 3 days on 9 days off barrack guard. The 9 days off don't mean he is off work just off barrack guard so if a guard falls over a weekend he could be away for 12 days all together What I am supposed to do in the unlikely event wrigglebum decides to make an early appearance I don't know as he will be a good 4-5 hours away.

He is putting in the paperwork for the house move which we are hoping will be between 9th and 23rd March far far far from ideal but we need to get moved as soon as we can really so he can at least get home each night. He is also trying to get some of his leave now; he has 19 days leave left for this year, can take 10 days paternity and 10 days moving allowance. He is taking the paternity for the day I am being induced and the 9 working days after that, we won't know about the moving allowance leave until we know when we are moving so he is trying to take some of his annual leave between now and 27th but they could and may well tell him to go jump he can't take it.

Anyhow sorry for this being so long I have no idea where we will be moving to or when and will probably have very little notice, I am extremely stressed and keep having outbreaks of tears. If I can get some packing boxes I am going to get going on the packing as I would rather get stuff done before wrigglebum arrives as who knows how much I will be up to after so may be awol.

On top of it all this cold and cough has gone on to my chest and I am having a hard time sleeping so I am tired ratty and miserable lol

Oh dear sorry ive no advice but i wanted to give you a lot of these     hope all goes well in the end

Oh hun it all sounds so stressful the last thing you need right now :(

Oh Mik  I dont know what to suggest apart from I agree with starting to pack at least you have control over that and feel your ready to move when you do.

Keep ranting on here to help with the stress

Thanks  Hubby was refused leave until the day I am induced. I went to the docs and I have a chest infection  on antibiotics now. Doctor was fantastic though and when he saw how stressed I was asked me about it and is ringing hubbys company commander to talk to him about letting Phil have some of his leave before the birth. Doctor is a Lt Colonel so he outranks the company commander lets hope that helps!

Aw Mik

Hope the doctor talks some sense into them and they let him have some leave

HI mik i know how u feel, im movin next week to, so got lots of packing to do and sort billing companies etc. It is so stressing and horrible when we have to put preparations for baby on the back burner. Hope it goes ok for you, and no heavy lifting.

I don't know how you are holding up i would be in pieces having to deal with half of all that. I'm glad the doctor is supporting you and hope you get better soon.

Grace xx
