Anyone had one done? Its OH parents Ruby wedding anniversary in October, and was thinking of having some piccies done with us 3, and OHs sis and her boyfriend (oh and our doggie!!)

There a special offer at the mo of £25 for hour session incuding free 7x5 framed photo. (It is normally £125)

Can anyone recommend? Are the photos dead expensive to buy??

Sometimes the photos can be priced beyond belief to buy but it depends where you go

Personally I'd look for a local photographer, they can take amazing natural photos and won't be so overpriced.
If you lived closer to the Midlands I'd say to use Steve Gerrard who did the forum's photo competition. Maybe click his banner at the bottom of this page and have a look through his photos to get an idea of what a local photographer might be able to offer you.

Venture do take great pics but there are other options too.

Hi ya

My childrens grandparents had them done with my girls and they are fantastic, I went to the viewing and the photos were amazing, but yes very expensive, the smallest one you can buy is the 7x5 and its £75 they then go up to £125 for an 8x10 then up and up and up in to £1500+!!! Plus you can't buy just prints they all come with frames.

I bought 3 black and white ones, if i had the money I would have had them all, and everyone that has come over and seen them thinks they are great. I could have bought everthing and the girls had such a great time in the studio as they are all action shots.

I hope this helps.

I love Steves work, and did email him earlier this year...he is in Birmingham tho  He is willing to travel or we could meet him half way.

Do you think Steve would mind if there was a few of us at the shoot Urchin??

I can ask him and let you know, he does travel just not sure how far, I'm pretty sure he could meet you halfway.

He wouldn't mind lots of people, I saw him at a Birthday Party in June and he shot about 10 kids, moms, dads, grandparents, great-grandparents, everyone!

If you want me to hun I can send you some details of some photographers in your area who I know

Thanks Urchin....I think we could defo meet half way, would just have to find a suitable venue I suppose?

Wow, the Venture pics are expensive  Dont they do like an album or anything???

No they only do framed photos, you definately get what you pay for, shame you have to take out a second mortgage for it though!!!
