Those of you like me who are too broke to go out on Sat night (Boohoo :( ) What are you cooking? Or what have you cooked in the past that has been successful?

I have no idea what to do, I want it to be special because of all OH has done for me in the last year :)

We were going out for dinner and then to the pub but realised we would spend about £100 so instead we're going to Tescos and just buy anything we want! I'm so excited
I'm on slimming world so I can't wait to pig out! I'm def going to have salmon roulade for starters and ice cream for pudding. Not sure on my main yet. OH wants to get a tiger loaf with lots of meat from the deli and make the ultimate sandwich! I will also buy a few nice bottles of red :cheer: (Dan is at my mums so we even get to sleep in  )

How about beef wellington, lasagne or chicken and beef fajitas with sour cream and guacamole, they are yummy.
My OH loves junky food so in the past I've made him homemade cheeseburgers and chips.

tesco finest meal for 2 for £9
u get a main meal, a side dish, desert and bottle of wine :D

Think we're gonna head to marks & spencer for some tasty treats!! :D

i recon we will just get a takeaway in.

But he will get a bacon sarnie in bed the morning if he is lucky.

Im attempting to cook steak with all the sunday dinner trimmings andd making chocolate ice cream sundaes for dessert!

yummy!

xx

i would have made somethin really nice like steak, but we are going out for a pub meal....cheap & cheerful and oh yes there will be booze too :shhh:

Come on guys! I'm not feeling inspired here :shakehead: We always have takeaway hehe, and I want to do something different!

Misslarue, I love the idea of Beef Wellington, but I'm veggie so it would be a waste of a huge joint of meat :( We had lasagne the other day..Oh, your fajitas just gave me a snack idea

not a dinner idea but saw in my magazine a nice breakfast idea: make some toast cut a heart shape out of it then fry an egg in the middle DH might be getting a surprise sat morning :shhh: not much but its the thought that counts :D

How about

aubergine parmesan
mushroom risotto
Spinach and Ricotta Gnocchi
Stilton soufflé
Roasted vegetable tart
Stuffed pumkin

Thats all the veggies meals I could find, other than the usual nutloaf that is! :D
