Well, last night I thought I would try a dream feed. She had one about 10.30 had about 3 oz'z but woke at 3am for another bottle which she then took 4 1/2 oz's. Am I doing it wrong???? :(

Sounds like our LO! Sods law isn't it.

I've never done a dream feed, can't help you. It's something I've thought of though but I'm going to let Isaac start weaning first and we'll see what happens after that.

Whats her normal routine?

Damien took a while to get into dream feeding, but it worked brilliantly. and I loved it. He'd have a bottle before bed, go up, then when I went up I'd take another and fed him He slowly went more and more time afterward when he started to take larger bottles.

If the previous bottle the 10.30 one was any later than 7 then that might be your problem. Ive found that since I started the new routine with joe that if he gets a bottle less than 3 and a half hours since the last one that he doesnt take as much and is less settled afterwards.

IIRC from you other post 10:30 might be too early. I read somewhere the Dream feed should be 4hrs after the start of the previous feed, which is why I do mine at 11:30.

She may just be waking at 3am out of habit and will break that after a few days, but also is she warm enough then? I found Ellie was waking early when she had kicked of her sheet and blanket and slept longer when she didn't. I switched to the dreampod and she started sleeping for longer and longer.

Hi

Maybe she aint ready yet at that age even if Kiara had a dream feed she would still wake up after 2 or 3 hours so yoru lucky you get more then that. dont worry give it time she will do it.

We dont really have a routine but she has her last bottle anywhere between 7-8.30 and then will go to sleep quite soon after. Last night she had a bottle at 6pm and then one at 9pm so I didnt do a dream feed as I thought it would have to be midnight or later and I was so tired from the night before. So she had a bottle at 6pm, 9pm, 2.30am and then one at 6.30am.

Im going to move her to her cot at the weekend as I have a feeling when she stirs she touches the side of the moses basket and that wakes her - not sure though.

Ellis has last bottle at 6.30 then dream feed at 9.30 but still wakes at 4am every night!!!

The other night i didnt dream feed to see what happened, he still went till 4ish or bit earlier but he was very unsettled all night, waking for his dummy all night and chatting in his sleep!

xxxxx

Dream feeding never worked for me, and even he would feed every 2 hours during the day then from about 5pm till 9 he would feed almost every hour, even if fed at 11pm he would still wake during the night, untill he settled in to a routine of his own, he goes to bed at 7.30 and would always wake at 10.30, 3am and 6, only this week at 13months has he started sleeping through, has a final bottle at 7.30 and sleeps till 7

I feel better knowing it doesnt work for everyone.

Isabella for the last two nights has had a bottle around 6-6.30 and then one again and 9-9.30 and has been going through to 4-4.30am - Im quite pleased with that so we will see how it goes!!!
