Hi,

We have an 8 hour lfight when Sam is 10 months old.

Can anyone recommend any toys which keep their little amused for longer than average at that age, which are portable?

Thanks!

Lisa

Thanks Missthing! Was thinking more specifically...we were looking at the Vtech Bbay Laptop for example.

Hey hun,

I flew a 9hr flight with Arianna when she was 14mths so a little older than your LO, but what I took on the flight for her was...

Winnie the Pooh musical book

Disney Toy Phone (it has Mickey Mouse, Higglytown Heros...)

Crayola Colour Wonder (this is magic pens that old work on the supplied paper so LO can't colour in the furniture etc. - most supermarkets have this)

Then, also take books, blanky, teddy etc.

If he is a fan of a certain programme (like in the night garden, etc) and you have an i-pod, how about loading some films on to it - I am in the states just now and I put Wall-E, Doodlebops and Horton Hears a Who on mine to keep Arianna amused (again tho, she is older, now 2.5yrs)

Hope this helps you

No suggestions as we are not quite at toy stage yet. But id make sure that you have some new toys to keep interest up and some old toys for security etc.

You will do a lot of walking up the aisle

My LO is really into finger puppets (is that what they are called?) at the moment and loved them on a flight as I could hide them behind her seat and she would look for them etc.

We also usually have a musical mobile, a musical teddybear and books (which I have a habit of leaving on the plane :( ).

Plus he will love all the buttons on the plane - particularly the telephone/remote combination! My LO also currently loves cruising around the plane and saying hello to everyone! I am always surprised how well our flights go x
