It really wouldn't surprise me!

the one on stage you mean? yep defo said it. although who is George? I thought it was Larry from U2

LOL

Yeah the bit where they were on stage they definitely said it didn't they - we weren't hearing things.

So i wasnt hearing things either  Thought i heard them say it but thought no way they wouldnt allow that early evening time.
I heard the guy from U2 say it on the stage but then didnt he say it a near the end of the program again.

I watched neighbours once with my mum and i swear they said fuck in it, we even watched it again to be sure it it still sounded like it!

Now i KNOW we must have been hearing things!!

The simpsons is always saying either alternatives to words like that or making a point of bleeping them out, maybe wankers isnt seen as that bad

I thought i heard Mr Burns say it at the end as well when they were on the plane.

wankers not a swear word in the US... but they know it is here... they also say b*tch in the Simpsons in one episode, to describe a female dog...but it was a pun on the word... :rotfl:

I know this is an old story really, but incase anyone was wondering they DID say it.....

Channel 4 sorry for swearing Simpsons

Channel 4 has apologised over foul language in The Simpsons.

The episode, broadcast in April, featured a cameo appearance by rock stars U2.

One of the band members called his colleagues "w******", which was later mimicked by nuclear plant boss Mr Burns in the closing credits.

More than 30 viewers complained that the language was unacceptable in a programme which appealed to children and was broadcast before the watershed.

Channel 4 apologised and acknowledged that the broadcast was unsuitable at 6pm.

Staff had incorrectly certified that the programme could be shown at 6pm, it said.

Ofcom said the word was "clearly offensive" although "quite mild to many people".

It said: "Its use at 6pm in a programme like The Simpsons was not justified by the context and was not in line with audience expectations - as Channel 4 has acknowledged."

 So i wasn't hearing things :shakehead: I'd forgotten all about this.

Something similar was said on Futurama the other night when George was watching that too, I think it was shit.

I know he is 12 and hears swearing a lot and knows not to repeat it in front of me but there will be kids way younger watching too who will repeat it.
