Taking a bottle out.

Hi All,

When i go out at the moment i take a bottle of boiled water with the powder in a container and mix when Ollie requires a feed.

Now if im only out for an hour can i make up the feed before i go and then just give it to him or is this dangerous. I always get myself in a right pickle as Ollie tends to scream and then im trying to do everything one handed!

How long can mixed up formula stay ok for?

It says to throw away if not used for an hour on the label. I kept mine alot longer maybe around 3 or 4 hours sometimes. I just gave it a sniff first to be safe! They probably write 1 hour on the label so you have to use more milk and then have to go and buy more milk!!

its not dangerous at all, the feed companies just have to cover their backs !
I make my days feeds up in advance and take one with me when we go shopping / doctors / friends house, etc and no harm done to my little man

Yeah that's fine. I always make sure I chuck any made up milk out after 2 hours... I know I wouldn't want to drink milk myself that's been lying out of the fridge for too long so I wouldn't feed it to DD if you know what I mean
