I've been nauseous, irritable and exhausted! Lost all my appetite, got food aversions (meat, chicken and dairy) and have craved plain flavours but also sour sweets. Despite feeling grim, I've not actually been sick and for the last 2 weeks everything but tiredness has eased massively. To the point I worried something was wrong (it's not, all is good!)

People say the lack of sickness means I'm having a boy - is there any truth behind this?

I had a boy on my first pregnancy and I had a lot of symptoms!

I was so nauseous with my son and only vomited a few times, but I don't think there's much truth in it. This time I've been horrendously sick since week 5 but I still think I'm having another boy  xx

My last pregnancy, I didn't have any sickness what so ever and had a girl... I don't personally think there's a pattern to it x

You sound exactly how I was, I was only sick once and rarely nauseous but completely lost my appetite for meat etc and struggled to eat dinner, it soon came back but then went again a bit later on - I'm having a boy :) xx

My sister carried the same and felt the same, had a boy then a girl. I've had 4 boys and although there has been a lot of things the same, I haven't carried the same, or ate the same things. Think it depends what season you're pregnant in too. I've had two summer babies and just wanted ice lollies!, and sherbert! So sweet things really. Old wives tales pointed to a girl for me last time but he was another boy! It's fun to guess though. I haven't suffered with sickness with any of them though. And my mum had terrible sickness with girls. Probably no pattern to it though, just how the individual person is.. :)

Thank you all :)
I have a feeling I'm carrying a boy. Again, no reason for it I just always refer to bump as 'he'.
A little while til I find out yet but it's so exciting!

i was sick with both girls but not with this boy. xx

I wasn't actually sick with any of mine and I've had 2 girls and a boy, felt the same on all three so you never know lol xx I do have a feeling that this one is a little girl for some reason though xx we are booking a private scan at 16 weeks and taking the 3 children along with us :) sooo excited xx

I've had 2 boys and was very ill with number 2, I had HG, but only mild nausea with the first. This time I've been very ill up to 9 weeks but feeling a lot better since friday, so who knows! I don't think sickness, or lack of, is any indicator of gender x
