I know there are already a few vacc-threads running atm, but I thought that today's front page deserves its own thread.

The research was not only flawed, it was fixed deliberately. Wakefield deserves prison imho.

wasn't this found last year I thought Wakefield's research had been discredited for quite a while now

Well, it had been discredited before, but they just thought it was flawed, not that it was deliberately fixed. That's a huge difference, even if it's not a surprise.

I remember reading a while ago that he was going to be charged with misconduct due to fixed research.

The misconduct charges were regarding the ethics surrounding his studies, as he hadn't got ethical approval in the first place.

I see where you're coming from, as it is indeed old news that he has been discredited. The news is just that he knowingly committed fraud. The financial links had been known, but his blatant changing of medical records hadn't.

he does deserve to be struck off and never allowed to conduct research ever again at the very least.

Me too!! The amount of upset and stress he has caused to millions of parent!! Not to mention all the children who have become ill because the parents were scared of giving the injections because of him!!
