stupid midwife

so i was booked in for a sweep this morning im 39 plus 5 so my midwife was ill so stand in refused to do my sweep cos i was 2 days out from 40 weeks i so angry but she wouldnt listen

My friend had the same thing but our midwife won't sweet u till ur 40+5 so she waited turned up at 40+5 n it was stand in who refused to do it bless my pal had to wait another 2 days for first sweep x

It's weird how different places and midwives have such different views, policies or whatever in place when it comes to sweeps. Very frustrating... Really feel for u. Fingers crossed your midwife is back for your next appointment xxx

update i phoned hospital to complain about said midwife and they said they couldnt understand why she wouldnt do my sweep so they told me to come down and they would do it so it hurt like hell but i got it done i was having contractions every tens mins last nite then they stopped at 4 am now ive had a bit of a show im sssssoooooooo excited bring it on
