(Not sure where to put this thread but am desperate. If in wrong place please move :))

I have had a couple of pretty stressful days with all this house business and still not being able to find anywhere that's even remotely decent. Now I have started to notice that I can't feel Bean Sprout moving much, if at all for hours. I have tried resting in a quiet room, laying on my left side (usually kicks like crazy at night time when laying that way), having ice cold water, gently pressing my belly and nothing is getting her moving.

I don't want to call up yet as I think it is just fear and she is ok as she had really strong heart beat on Wednesday and moved like crazy yesterday. I mainly just need that reassurance right now.

Please, if anyone can give me any advice I would really appreciate it. I am on the verge of tears and can't even sleep because of all the issues around me right now.

Sorry for long ass post, gotta learn to get to the point quicker.

My LO one has active days and quiet days, sometimes i'm battered to death and others i worry she isn't there.. But her heartbeat is always healthy and strong and when she does do a movement, boy does she make it felt!

I've always gone with my instincts when it comes to lack of movement with mine, mostly i know i'm just worrying for nothing, so i don't bother to ring. In all honesty, if you think it would help put your mind at rest, its worth ringing even if there is nothing wrong and you end up feeling a tad silly. At least you'll know for definite that there is nothing wrong and its one less thing you need to worry/think about.

With the best intentions in the world, sending you "hope you get kicked soon" vibes. Hope you get everything sorted with the house and that LO moves for you and gets rid of the worry

Hope you have felt something now. They do have quiet days and get into positions where you don't feel so much, plus there is much less room in there now. Keep trying the usual tricks, have you tried flipping from your left to right quickly to kind of startle them or a loud noise they might not have heard before to make it jump? I find relaxing on sofa eating works the best for me, sometimes sweet foods or a cuppa work in the same way as they perk us up briefly. If you don't get any moves in 24 hours set your mind at rest and call midwife, that's what they are there for at the end of the day.

Im sorry to hear your having a hard time :(

If you are concerned at all about babies movements i would give the hospital a call or a midwife if one is on duty. they are there to reassure us and put our mind at ease so never feel like your bothering anybody.

Its better to be safe :)

hope things get better soon
xx

Hi,

I had a similar thing a few weeks ago. I was looking for a house, and feeling really stressed when I was struggling, and then I noticed I hadn't felt much movement from LO... Then recently I've been moving in and trying to get furniture etc and LO was quiet again... I think when we're busy we just don't notice the movements, and then when we notice we haven't felt them, they don't want to move!!! I tried everything that people have been suggesting, even putting a bright light against my tummy to try and wake him up!

Sometimes they move to face backwards, and then you can't feel them as much, so it could be that as well.

If you're worried though, it's best to ring your midwife, they are always there to help and put your mind at rest!

xx
