Stairgate help needed?

Ladies I need some help.

We have the basic metal Lindam stairgate.


AJ is now trying to open it
We got this one as it screws to the wall and has no bar to step over.

Any reccomendations??

CAn I ask a few questions??....Is it strong? How does it open? Has Hebe tried to master it yet? Do you think she would be able to?

Visitors struggle to open it so I cant imagine the kids working it out!! She knows how the mechanism works on our kitchen gate which we've had for ages for keeping the dogs in when we're out or in bed. She's not opened it but she knows which bit it is.

You literally push it shut and it is double hinged so you can open and shut it both ways. Surprisingly easy to fit and once it's fitted it feels strong. It's at the top of a flight of stairs going down and she sits leaning on the other side....and she's no ballerina!!

Its for the top of our stairs. We live in an upstairs flat, so it would be used all day.
Not to mention we have the doziest Staffy in the world who likes to run into the gate!

Think I may order one.

Same spot as us by the sounds of it Lise. You come upstairs to the main floor in our house and we have it there to stop her going down

Just to rub it in, ours arrived yesterday evening!
OH is going to fit it tomorrow when were out.

I'd tell him lil Miss has nearly figured out the old one and can nearly open it!
