My little bundle of loveliness Sophia Christine arrived on 26.9.15 at 4.18am via c-section weighing in at 9.1 lb
She's super cute will upload a pic soon as I can. I'm finally home now from hospital at around lunchtime today, Cora has taken to her really well both my girlies are asleep now and all is peaceful aaah - yet surreal.
Well some of you may know that I had been having intense pressure and was really struggling with end stages of pregnancy last week - felt like I was going to explode at any min and also noticed reduced movement. On Friday I called up the pregnancy assessment unit and went down to be checked thinking I would just be sent home again, turns out I was told my baby would be arriving that day...they were concerned about her heart rate dipping so I was instantly wheeled round to the labour ward and put on a monitor - no hypnobirthing for me the consultants weighed up the risks and advised c-section was the safest option but I could wait a little longer as other urgent priorities were before me.We waited until about 3.50am during this wait I had been having my own spontaneous contractions building up but not strong enough to be classed as established labour which was also a concern for them.
I had a c-section with spinal block which made me feel like I's had 10 vodka's and I was slurring my words...really funny feeling hard to explain it...everything went smoothly no excessive blood loss or tears like last time. When she came out the midwife noticed that the cord was directly over her head!
Ok so it wasn't the labour I had hoped for but she is here and well and I'm recovering well if anything a lesson is to trust your instinct and if something doesn't feel right ring them up
Thanks for reading x
