Sprung a leak!

Another interesting day! Last week I thought I might have a water leak - spent the afternoon in hospital on the monitor then they looked at my cervix and decided all was well. Today, I saw the midwife at the doctors and she sent me up to hospital again. More monitoring, another speculum and test for fluid which was negative (again) !
I'm 34 weeks with my fifth baby and had a similar time with baby number two. From 33 weeks I kept getting wet patches, they kept saying it wasn't my waters - but by 36 weeks when they finally scanned me, there was virtually no water and I was induced at 37 weeks.
They have given me a special pad to wear that can detect amniotic fluid, and they want me to go for a biophysical scan in the morning.
I'm in bed now, trying not to worry and just chill out x x

Oh gosh how worrying! Least they seem a little more aware this time! Be persistent, you know your body at the end of the day! Hope the scan goes well xx

I have a feeling you can leak even though the cervix appears shut. I'm just saying because my friends waters reduced and her cervix exam was shut but then the fluid was leaking so I guess it's possible. Hope you and baby are ok x

When you say wet patches.....what do you mean by that? I just figured my 'wet patches' was watery discharge but your making me think........ xxxx

I've had a lot of wetness. Been putting it down to sweating and watery discharge but I do wonder if it could be a slow leak. The movements this baby makes are painful for me which makes me think there is less fluid/no cushioning. I've avoided doing anything about it as I had wetness with my first and went through checks and they said it was fine, and it was, so I'm hoping it's not that. It is worrying though, but I think I'd have such a battle trying to get them to do a scan or something that it wouldn't be worth it now..?

Ive been in hosp all day with a suspected leak - all tests came back negative and said its just an increase in discharge - could be a bacteria infection so gave me some tabs and sent me howm. Xxx

Same Claire! I went in after reading this thread, been worrying me for a while but I didn't really think it was that, but I figured better to be safe x
