Staind- Outside

it was on the radio as I got my BFP. At the time they weren't happy tears but now when I hear it I think about how that second pink line was the moment I found out about my little girl.

:D :D :D :D

No Matter What - Boys own

Was Number 1 when Cameron was born and i thought it was very apt as it was just me and him facing the world alone.
Still brings a tear to my eye.

Disturbs me thinking what could be number one when this one is born.

OMG soooo many!!

Because of You by Kelly Clarkson - the bit in the middle reminds me of how I felt when my Mum was dying

Wonderful Tonight - Eric Clapton - the last song me and my Mum danced too (I sing it to Arianna all the time!)

Leaving on a Jet Plane (any version!!) - Brian has sang this to me on the day he leaves for offshore since we first started dating (8yrs ago), he also arranged at both our wedding and engagement party fro him and 2 of our male friends to sing it to me - in the style of Armageddon with all the silly harmony :)

How to Save a Life by The Fray - reminds me of times with my mates

I could go on forever!! I studied music so I take note of lyrics and melodies very easily

'fix you' by coldplay - it was out around the time that my mum died and the lyrics still kill me to this day. she told my OH to look after me...

'tears stream down your face
when you lose something you cannot replace'

oh, and 'she's like the wind' cos i watched dirty dancing loads when ex dumped me, and i thought i'd never be that special to anyone ever again

Dido - white flag

it was my best mates funeral song, the two bit where she sings

"I know I left too much mess and
destruction to come back again
And I caused nothing but trouble
I understand if you can't talk to me again
And if you live by the rules of "it's over"
then I'm sure that that makes sense"

and

"And when we meet
Which I'm sure we will
All that was there
Will be there still
I'll let it pass
And hold my tongue
And you will think
That I've moved on.... "

always bring tears to my eyes!

greenday - time of ur life - played at a friends funeral :(
westlife - flyin without wings - played at another friends funeral :(

blink 182 - i miss you - makes me think of Jams dad and what happened with us

Boyzone- No Matter What. Reminds me of my Nanna's funeral.

1st Lady - Missing You. It was played a funeral of 4 children that died in a car accident. I found out i was pregnant the night the last two had their life supports turned off. I was 15weeks pregnant when it was played. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W8HAu353wWE

and
Lemar- Time To grow

Both played at my sisters babies funeral

Mine is "Footsteps" Leona Lewis - It reminds me of me & Evie facing the world alone, like Chickadee said.

That is a good song. Chris Martin wrote it for Gwyneth when her father died.

"Scattered Black & Whites" by Elbow always puts me in ..er.. a reflective mood. Mainly because it brings up vivid memories of childhooh.

Thought of another...

In my daughters Eyes by Martina McBride as it makes me happy/sad thinking my baby girl is going to grow up

teardrop - massive attack
roads - portishead (makes me bawl)
black - Pearl Jam

but the one song that can reduce me to tears no matter what my mood is "Don't give up" by Peter Gabriel. Its one of my fave memories of my dad, it was New Year and everyone had gone home and this song came on and he was dancing with me and singing the song to me (he was drunk lol). It took on a lot more meaning after both him and mum died (they died within 5 years of eachother), both because they ever gave up fighting and also for these lines

Dont give up
You still have us
Dont give up now
We're proud of who you are

Its got me crying now thinking about it,I'm not usually sentimental

Athlete:- Wires
The lead singer wrote it for his premature son, and my friend was in the same situation, he rang the local radio station on his way back from hospital and requested it as a dedication for his baby..I was in bits!! And I still cry everytime I hear it to this day!

"You got wires, going in
You got wires, coming out of your skin
You got tears, making tracks
I got tears, that are scared of the facts

Running, down corridors through, automatic doors
Got to get to you, got to see this through
I see hope is here, in a plastic box
I've seen christmas lights, reflect in your eyes

You got wires, going in
You got wires, coming out of your skin
There's dry blood, on your wrist
Your dry blood on my fingertip

Running, down corridoors through, automatic doors
Got to get to you, got to see this through
First night of your life, curled up on your own
Looking at you now, you would never know

I see it in your eyes, I see it in your eyes
You'll be alright
I see it in your eyes, I see it in your eyes
You'll be alright

Alright

Running, down corridors through, automatic doors
Got to get to you, got to see this through
I see hope is here, in a plastic box
I've seen christmas lights, reflect in your eyes
down corridors, through automatic doors
Got to get to you, got to see this through
First night of your life, curled up on your own
Looking at you now, you would never know."
