Id thought id jump on the band wagon, hope you dont mind girlies

Brighton and Hove is not the bloody place to do a christening!!! We have been quoted £350 for use of a function roon for 3 hours
But after much hunting managed to get a function room above a lovely pub, and they said as long as we get the food from them it will be £400 including food........
So were having a hot thai lunch for 50, 100 invited but they do too much food, been there before. Oh and they are also throwing in a cake
Apparantly all the pubs round here franchise their kitchens out to caterers and they have to charge you for hire of the room (pub profit) then £5 a head upwards for food (franchises profit) gits!!!

I think i got a good deal for £400 with hot food. what ya think??

Bloody hell!!! I am glad I live in little old Scotland.... nice, cheap and pretty scenary!

On a serious note, if everyone else was approx £350 for the room only, then I think you have got a stonker of a deal

i think so too the manager was new there i was like "HOWMUCH" BLOODY HELL!! Then my friend pointed the obvious out to me

i paid well over 500 for buffet alone!!!

Cooorrr even £400 is expensive. We only paid £110 for a room in the pub to ourselves, they decorated it for us and for a buffet of food. My MIL did Harrisons cakes and the church was free.
