I'll start my apologising in case i fall asleep midway through this post! I've had an absolutely exhausting weekend. Agreed months ago to visit my friend who lives about 2 hours away this weekend. It was also another friends birthday so i knew that there'd be partying/drinking going on (from them, not me obvs). There was meant to be a group of people going and i was supposed to get a lift but last week people started dropping like flies and in the end i had to fork out over 40 quid for a very long train journey. Needless to say i was knackered by the time we got there and they all wanted to drink and go out. I got dressed up and drank my coke like a good girl but by 11pm when the taxi arrived i was just so tired and ended up staying at my friends flat, going to be bed, and then being woken up at intermittent periods throughout the night by the party-goers arriving home.

Today everyone except me was hungover and it took ages to get up and motivated to get the train home (another 3 hour journey with a huge bag in tow). We also ended up having to run for said train which was neither fun or attractive. I arrive home, shattered and OH picks me up from the train station in a foul mood because he's had a row with his family...something he proceeds to tell me about at length before dropping me off and allowing me to get a bath and FINALLY get in bed. THEN my mum starts being sick with what we think is a tummy bug thats going round so i've had to look after her all night. Now i'm hoping to finally have a rest before going back to work tomorrow. Think this will be my last little jaunt for a while. Need to accept that i can't keep up to the same pace as i used to. Just hope baby is ok and i haven't over done it.

Sorry for the pointless rant xx

oh hun what a crap time hope everything gets better for you xxx

It happens, I learnt this through a more boring route of trying to clean through the whole house in the usual big spring clean. Usually kick the OH out of the house to make sure he doesn't get in the way. Got to admit it took me two power naps, god knows how many snacks and intermittent rests with cups of tea to get through the clean...
Feel so bad for you though, especially not being able to take your rest!
I don't think it will have done bump any harm, just use it as a reminder to put your feet up at every opportunity!
