reflux!!

hey ladies, im just wondering what reflux is!! jack is quite unsettled at the moment he has been on colief drops for a while and these seemed to be helping! he isnt really sick any more than usual but after being winded he sometimes makes really horrible sounds like he is in pain although he doesnt cry! could somebody describe the symptoms of reflux or are these noises normal!! jack is 6 weeks old and is breast fed! xxx

Ahh, my speciality!!

Two types of reflux - Silent (no vomiting/very little vomiting) and Normal Reflux (Vomits more than a normal baby should)

Unless either of these are acompanied by crying and clear pain, then gennerally theres little to worry about.

Does DS appear to choke on nothing? Have bad breath? Scream while feeding/after feeding? Arch back at all?

my specialist subject too...but hertsmummy has explained it as clear as day so not much i can add TBH
but if u go into the feeding and nutritian area there is a dedicated refluxe support thread you will find loads of info/advice in there.
