Yes. My mum is a reflexologist although I don't think I had a treatment until 39 weeks and kept on until 41 weeks (I went into labour at 41+5).
Not sure it helped me with moving anything along, but was fantastic for relaxing me. Make sure if you go that you see someone specialised in pregnancy reflexology as there are certain points (bladder for one!) that you need to be careful around xx
I had it done by a maternity reflexologist on Wednesday at 40+3 - it didn't do anything for me in terms of speeding up labour as I'm still waiting for my baby!! Howevber it did wonders to relax me and I can't say I've ever been as relaxed as I was during that session!!
Definitely recommend it but I wouldn't get your hopes up that it will make anything quicker (although you might be lucky!!!)
But if it makes me relaxed haha can certainly do with that.. just not sure if there's any round Manchester, will have to ask the midwife on Wednesday !
My auntie is a reflexologist and I had it every fortnight after 12 weeks had passed. I'm not sure if it helped, but my baby was born at 39 weeks after a 5 hour relatively easy labour. It was so amazingly relaxing during pregnancy I think I might ask her to start doing it again!
My midwife used reflexology points on me during the pushing part of labour. She was worried my contractions were not strong enough to get the baby out. Dont know if it helped but she came out fine after 55mins of pushing.
