Stanley's really poorly today :( He's got a bit of a temperature, his bum's sore and he's got loose poo. He's also thrown up, huge stinky adult sick, very impressive!

He's very unhappy and struggling to suck his dummy. I don't know if I'm imagining it but his gums seem swollen. :?

Anybody else's baby been through similar things whilst teething? My instinct tells me that's what it is but I don't want to discount other illnesses in case.

It's just he cut his first two with no bother and does seem quite poorly this time. :(

*EDIT* Stanley's poo is really mucusy the last one was jellified :puke:

Anyone heard of this before?

Elliott seems to be struggling with his teeth at the moment. He had me up the other night at 2am spewing up, and after lots of hard poos he had diorrhoea all up his back and everywhere else a couple of days ago.
Dunno what the mucusy poo stuff is though?
Don't us mummys have fun getting to talk about poo all day long.
I hope Stanley picks up soon x

hiya minxy
the mucusy poo could be if he's really snotty.
Is he otherwise Ok? eating and drinking OK?

make sure he gets lots of fluids. If in doubt rin nhs direct 0845 4647

Hope he gets better soon

xx

Thanks ladies

he's not poorly enough to ring NHS I don't think.

The mucus is gone but he's pooing every couple of hours. It's not much but it stinks and his bum is really getting blistered :(

Does this sound to anyone else like teething nappies?

I dont know hun as alfie had this a couple weeks ago and i was sure he was teething and his poo was so bad that we had to pull his nappy off in the bath everytime as it was like wter and was going everywhere. it was S&D and he was fine after a couple of days off milk (although very unhappy about that) and then he seemed ok, is he running a tempo or anything and how is he in himself?

does sound like teething napies, not sure about the mucus though, has be been consipated recently? sorry for the TMI but i had mucus in my poops when i had piles from being consipated through pregnancy.

for his bum try and give him loads of nappy free time.

and i swear by salt baths some people have told me it wil hurt them :? but my 2 have never complained. they sit in shallow salty water for as long as possible by the time you lift them out its gone

and the best cream is http://www.edirectory.co.uk/pf/880/mia/ ... id/2193474

and medised to halp him get a good nights sleep

poor little dude hope he is better soon, couldnt imagin him upset as he was sooo happy and smiley when i seen him
:(

Yeah definitely sounds like teething poo...it stinks!!

Thanks all :D

Dionne, I've got that metanium, it's SOO chemically but how fab is it???!!

AM, he isn't REALLY himself, not that anyone else would know, but I think he's subdued and he cries as soon as he's pooed as it must really sting
:(

C'mon peggies!!!

Arianna had REALLY stinky nappies whenever she is teething and gets a bit of a blocked nose and little pimples round her nose.

I think he is just teething, bu as Urchin said call NHS if need be.

Sounds all the same as Ellis even the mucus. Ellis had it for 7 days about, then the tooth cut!!

Poor little fella was doing pooy runny farts in every nappy, but the rash is going down now.

Good luck, toothies coming!!! xxxxx
