Iv managed to get about 4oz of breast milk off today and my little girl has had 2oz so there is some left.
Iv worked hard to get it pumped off haha so i dont really want to chuck it away. Can i put it back in the fridge and warm it up again?

If it's already been offered to baby then it's not recommended to keep it for more than another hour or so as bacteria will have been introduced by baby and the longer it's left the more chance they get to multiply. Otherwise I believe breast milk stays fresh for about 6 hours out of the fridge or stored 5-6 days in the fridge. I don't know about heating it more than once as we fed straight from the fridge when we tried expressing to bottle feed, but I don't think I'd want to do it myself.

Iv been looking online and it says that you can re-heat twice...As in pump into bottle...Fridge....Heat...fridge and then heat again and thats it.

Im not really sure i want to give it to her again. Just looking for someone who has re-heated twice for their opinion.

Think i may just chuck it away to be honest and just pump more if i can but if not then just wait till my milk comes in more to express into bottles and BF aswell

PS... Sorry if im making no sense.... Over tired =P

I personally wouldn't, it might be fine but it might not and I don't think it's worth the risk. I know how soul destroying it is to pour that liquid gold down the sink though!!

The last two bottles I've expressed have gone to waste and it's gutting to pour it out. I'm going to store it in 1oz portions I think xx
