Hi ladies

No matter how much I try I can't understand Ramzi theory! Anybody confident enough to venture a guess?!

Measured 6+1, transvaginal scan
Thank you!

So the thing with Ramzi theory is some people say you flip a transvaginal ultrasound and some say you don't. Basically at that stage babies don't generally stray far from where the placenta is going to be so if baby is on the left side of your body it's a girl, and on the right side it's a boy. Whether or not you need to flip the scan depends on the clinic and how they do it. Most scans, transvaginal or not, are done as if the tech was looking straight at you, so they're mirrored.

I think your scan might be sagittal, so a view as if your uterus was sliced vertically not horizontally. If it is, then you can't tell what side of the body baby/placenta is on from it. All my early scans were in sagittal view too so they were useless for Ramzi theory predictions. I asked my tech at the appointment and she said baby was nuzzled as far left as possible. My baby is a girl so the theory was right for me!

Ah interesting! I just find it so confusing
Thank you for your input though :)

I've never heard of this theory and thanks for explaining it
