quick kim & aggie question...

our microwave is MINGIN it is full of dried exploded food splat and i cant scrub it off

is there some sort of cheap household concoction i can make and put in there and microwave it and it turns all the rock hard grime to soft easily-removeable goo?

Put a bowl of water and some lemon juice in the microwave and cook on full power for 5 mintues, should then just wipe off!
If it doesnt then just increase the cooking time (6,7,8 mintues)

If you dont have lemon juice you can still do it with just plain water the juice see just meant to take any odours away.

What is best to clean an iron bath!

I've tried most cleaners even denture tablets but its not working, anyone no anything else?

hi hun.. just as jollypops said.. water and lemon juice.. if it still wont come off.. use some white vinigar to about the bath.. try some biological washing powder.. its absolutly amazing.. i buy tesco value box.. and i always use it to clean my bath.. i shower the bath.. then make a powderish paste and rub it all over.. then leave it on for atleast 10 mins.. then go in (even with a normal dishcloth) and scrub.. it comes up gleaming.. (i have a porcilane (sp) bath) so hope it works with iron.. i cant see why not.. after all its only powder

I always cleaned my iron bath with stardrops liquid. That stuff is excellent!

white vinegar for the mocrowave, followed by lemon in water to deodorise it

thanku- microwave is lovely and clean now! euw honestly it was so gross it made me feel sick

i put a tiny bit of fairy liquid in the water and it exploded! i did 4 minutes idk whether thats a bit too long hehe

its clean now anyway
