Hello,

I am expecting a son in a few months and trying to choose a pushchair suitable from birth. I thought I'd decided on the Joolz Geo2 Mono pushchair & carrycot, which is £850. However I then realised the Joie Chrome pushchair, which is £250 (350 including carrycot), appears on the face of it to be broadly similar in terms of product specification.

I would be grateful if someone could kindly advise me on whether one really does get better features from more expensive pushchairs (beyond stylistic appearance) such as Joolz, such as comfort, ease of use, adaptability etc, or whether the price difference mostly reflects style, fabrics, appearance etc?

Many thanks
Phil

I know it sounds silly but best thing to do is go to a shop and take them for a 'test drive'. Look at them closely. Touch fabric. Fold, unfold, clip, unclip etc. Only then you'll be able to tell. People have such different opinions and we don't always look for the same in products. Good luck.

Honestly I wasted my money on my expensive pram and bought an 150 quid buggy 10 months later. I really think you get decent priced good prams too. I've heard good things about the joie ones. One thing I'll be looking for this time is a pram that lets baby sit up straight when converted. Mine was still slightly back and dd was always pulling herself forward to see out.

Like KHTW said go test them, how wide they are, how they'd be if your baby is tall or long for their age (mine was and didn't fit the cosy toe by 10months) etc. You may find what you like the look of you hate in real life etc. X

We have one of each. We live on a farm so one for getting dirty and one for best. We have the egg for best, it is a beauty, lovely to use. Then we have a graco for round the farm, it copes really well with all the mud but it is nowhere near the quality of the egg. Depends what you want really.
