Prolactin levels high

I had blood test results today which have shown that I am producing high levels of prolactin causing irregular periods and breast discharge. This is caused by a benign tumour on the pituitary gland in my brain. I am now being referred to hospital for MRI scan and further blood tests with a view to hopefully only having to take medication and not having to have a brain operation.
Has anyone had this? Been trying to get pregnant for 10 months and now I feel like it’s further away than ever. Doctor said once levels have been corrected with medication and provided there’s no other fertility issues she can see no reason why I couldn’t get pregnant.
Has anyone got this? Any advice?
Any good or bad news stories?
How long could it take to get pregnant?
Should I still keep trying or wait for things to get sorted.
Please please help

I have this. Like you, my nipples were leaking and I came off the pill and my periods didn't come back at all. Long story short, a microprolactinoma was confirmed on an MRI. I was started on meds and my levels returned to normal very quickly and my periods came back. It is very, very rare for this sort of tumour to require surgery and I was also advised that once everything was normal, it was unlikely to affect fertility in the absence of other problems. It did take us a long time to get pregnant but we did have other issues which were probably causing the problem once the prolactin was normal. We did get pregnant naturally in the end though. Hope that's helpful. Happy to help if you have any other questions.
