Hey...

Well im 19 months post c section and 28 weeks pregnant and since about 5ish yesterday and obviously early hours of this morning my scar has been quite painful. Esp when baby moves against it. Some of the pain can be a dull ache and others a sharp stabbing pain. Parts of my scar and areas around it our sore to touch... with that ive the normal back pain and pelvic pressure.

Anyone else experiencing scar pain? What should i do?

I'm not :( my scar has had another 6 months on yours to heal, but I think if it's painful it would be worth speaking to your midwife x

I'd get it checked tbh. I've heard it can be normal as adhesions come apart etc. But haven't experienced it myself

I've had similar and asked my midwife and she said its everything stretching and that scar tissue isn't as flexible. I also found that when baby moves and touches my scar internally it hurt and she said that's normal.

Thanks everyone... yeah nutsyputs my little baby is kicking my ass :( ... any time the baby moves i swear he/shes gonna break through the scar :(

im 32 weeks and as yet had no pain, (section 16 months ago). hope it passes for you :( xxx

Not passing have it now two days. Foned cmw and ive d go d docs now at 2 because im so sore had me up most of last night. .. the pain is like always a dull ache and then when my little baby rubs against be its like he/she is stabbing me from the inside out x

My section was almost 10 years ago now but didn't wanna read and run. I would defo speak to midwife or doc about it. Better be safe than sorry x

Although im now 3yrs on since section but even before then when bump started to grow my section scar been fine. Bit more numb around that area but thats all. I would call mw though. X

Was up at midwife and just said babies head is on the scar area and causing the pain. Told me to take paracetamol. Even tho i told her i already did and they did nothing. Said if it gets any worse to go to fetal assessment.... also said to take it out easy and get plenty of rest. Alot of rest i will get with a 19 month old. And the fact its so sore when i lay down and i cnt get comfortable xx

Im 18months post section and was having some pain around my scar two weeks ago. It started out as crampy periody pains on/off which later developed into quite a specific pain on right side of scar. By the end I felt a pulling tugging pain which reminded me of the early weeks when ur scar was healing? I rung hosp at time and was told it was scar tissue stretching. Later that week when pain was gone I saw my mw, she told me I should of got it checked out. Said theres apparently a specialised scan they can do to check the scar and uterus wall? Never heard of it, dont know how ready the hosp would be to do something like that. See how it goes but if pain persists maybe contact assess unit, just for peace of mind. Ive had none since but no doubt I'll get it again. x

Thank u heres hoping. Yeah i was reading that about the scan... my midwife said they will do that at my 34 week app to ensure that it will b strong enough for labour. Pain is still there not as much thank god lol ... literally thought my little one was trying to slice there way out haha
