poop!

Hi Everyone,

I hope you're all OK! Cahal had his first poop in hospital (well, he had 3, the last one being on Tuesday morning). I'm breast feeding him on demand but so far he hasn't done a 'milky' poo - can anyone tell me how long it normally takes? My midwife was here yesterday and was a little concerned that he is a 'lazy' feeder as he tends to drop off while on the breast, so now I'm stripping him down to his nappy and tickling him whenever he drops to make sure gets the good stuff but still no joy! Midwife is back again today but I'm too impatient to wait til this afternoon lol, can anyone help?

it depends entirely on the baby! K pooped really regularly a million times a day, but E was a bit slower and used to just poop every few days! completely the opposite of what they say cos they reckon BF babies poop less than FF babies! it might just be that he's digesting it all really well and there's not much to come out the other end
