Do some members have problems? I'm only asking as I haven't myself but noticed a lot of threads directed at just one member as if it should have been a PM. It's annoying not getting an alert when you get a PM. I get an email but it would be handy something coming up on here too.

Have you selected pop-up when receive a pm in your profile?

Maybe your browser is blocking the pop-ups?

You dont always get pop ups hun which is sometimes why i do instead of pming

I send pm's and I'm probably guilty sometimes of doing the above too.

I get stressed though as even though I've activated the alert on my profile, I don't get the e mail

Mind you, a lot of things stress me out at the mo

Oh maybe it is blocking them. There is a mod where it flashes when you get a PM, can't remember what it's called now. Sorry to sound picky but I just find it annoying when I go to read a thread and it's a PM. I wouldn't mind if I could read the PM's too.

Have you looked in your trash folder? Maybe your email filter is sending it straight to the bin?

You just need to get someone to send you a pm, look for the alert (usually under your browsers address bar) and you should have an option to unblock pop-ups from this URL.

Yeah mine is too, I didn't realise it was a pop-up that we get, rather not then. lol Some of the other themes show when you get a PM at the top. I used to use this PHPBB. This was my favourite theme but I had a few installed to try the differences out.

Found this for IE users, I'm sure firefox etc must have the same kind of procedure:

To check your pop-up settings manually, open Internet Explorer and click Tools > Internet Options.

Click the Privacy tab at the top of the window and then the Settings button at the bottom of the Pop-up Blocker section.

Make sure www.pregnancyforum.co.uk is in the allowed sites list. If it is not:

Enter www.pregnancyforum.co.uk in the Address of Web site to allow box.

Click the Add button.

Click Close and then OK to go back to the Internet Explorer main window.

I've got firefox and I just checked, it's in the tools/options/content tab under "allowed sites"
