how many months does a baby have to be to use a play mat ( lying on it) and a bouncer?

You can use a play mat from birth but you might have to wait for a few weeks or more to use the bouncer. I tried Jake in the bouncer when he was a couple of weeks old and he was too small for it as his legs hardly came around the bend.

I used both from a couple of weeks, could have used them earlier but all L did was sleep so I didn't bother with them until a couple of weeks in....she doesn't much like her playmat atm, prefers a blanket on the floor to the mat with the arch......loves her bouncer though
